Michael Croft is Professor and Head of the Division of Immune Regulation at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology. He additionally holds an appointment in the Department of Medicine at UC San Diego. Dr. Croft has dedicated his research career to understanding how T cell immunity is regulated and how it can be exploited in the treatment of diseases such as asthma, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and diabetes. As a contributor to the national and international scientific communities, Dr. Croft has served on several NIH study sections and grant review committees, was an Associate Editor for the Journal of Immunology, and sat on a variety of committees for the American Association of Immunologists. Dr. Croft advises several pharmaceutical companies on targets in the immune system for clinical therapy.
