SDBRI Receives Significant Las Patronas Gift to Purchase Equipment

The institute received a generous donation from Las Patronas to purchase equipment to store temperature sensitive material. This equipment will be used to support two expanded research areas at the institute: breast cancer and HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder (i.e., dementia). The studies focus on identifying new biological pathways that lead to disease progression.

Las Patronas is committed to providing financial assistance to nonprofit organizations in San Diego County that provide valuable community services in the areas of health, education, social services, and cultural arts, and to continuing our tradition of service to enhance the quality of life in our community.

We need your help

Our research programs are funded primarily by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Private donations help to accelerate the progress of research through the purchase of laboratory supplies and equipment or the recruitment of additional laboratory personnel. Thank you!
