SDBRI Hosts Residents of Casa de Mañana Retirement Community as Part of the Institute’s Teach Science Initiative.

SDBRI hosted residents of Casa de Mañana retirement community as part of the institute’s Teach Science Initiative. The November 5 community outreach event gave the public a hands-on experience with various laboratory techniques to open the door of the biomedical research world to the non-scientific community. Participants isolated DNA, ran electrophoresis gels, and identified blood cells through a microscope. The Teach Science Initiative is an ongoing SDBRI program.
