Linking Tissue Factor to Humans with Type 2 Diabetes

A study from the Samad group links tissue factor, the primary initiator of the coagulation cascade to metabolic risk in obese type 2 diabetic humans. The study published in The Journal of Obesity showed that obese humans with type 2 diabetes had high levels of plasma and adipose tissue factor significantly correlated with plasma glucose, insulin and free fatty acid.
