Breast Cancer Awareness Month

More than 3.8 million women in the U.S. have a history of breast cancer. In response to this urgent need, San Diego BioMed scientists are working hard to find new ways to treat and reduce the recurrence of breast cancer. Over the last year, the Davies research group conducted a clinical trial to test the idea that improving muscle strength will improve immune strength, making it more likely that the immune system will attack and kill invading cancer cells. It’s studies like this that will help to find therapies to treat and prevent breast cancer recurrence.
